7:37

so that's what time i run the mile now. I know it won't get me to Beijing, but it's 2:30 faster than I was running 8 months ago! I listen to the same two songs on Josh's ipod every time i run so that I can pace myself. (it used to be 2 1/2 songs, but now I don't even finish the 2nd song!!!)

The songs: Dismantle. Repair. by Anberlin - The Kill by 30 Seconds to Mars

F I N A L L Y

  • Kyle is finally sleeping through the majority of the night (7-9 hours at a time).
  • Justin is finally tall enough to go to the bathroom w/out a stool (or w/out my feet being used as a stool).
  • Josh finally has an office to work at so he doesn't have to try to get work done at home with two boys who can't stay away from him.
  • I'm finally getting some good sleep!
  • Spring is finally here to stay...I hope!!!

baby on the move

The other morning, Kyle was entertaining himself with toys, so I took the opportunity to sit down at my computer. However, as soon as Kyle heard Justin and Daddy upstairs, I heard him crawl over to the stairs and start hitting the bottom step...or so I thought! I walked over to check on him, and he was halfway up the stairs! Kyle really doesn't seem to be afraid of anything--he even tries to climb on top of the vacuum while I'm using it! Justin is loving the more active Kyle. He's anxious to have a playmate.

time to read

I like to read. I don't get to read as much as I'd like to these days, but I still keep up with the John Grisham and Mary Higgins Clark books. Josh gets them for me almost as soon as they come out. (I believe I'm all caught up.) I make the time to read those books; however, there is One Book that I haven't really been making time for...The Bible. Since I grew up in a Christian family, went to church, and attended a Christian school and college, I have read the Bible a lot, but to be honest, most of the time it's been a chore. However, this week I started reading Ruth (I don't know why...it just jumped out at me), and now I am in I Samuel. I already know "what happens" in these stories, so now I'm looking at the details and picturing what I read...it makes it more real and interesting.

blog title explained

I am ready for warm weather. When I thought about what I'll be doing this spring, I realized most of my time will be spent in our yard or at the playground. Justin LOVES playing outside, so we've been doing a lot of that this week since the weather has been decent. Today we made mudpies!
